The questions I get asked most.

How do I know what kind of life insurance I need in Poughkeepsie?

It depends on your family, your debts, and your long-term goals. A common rule is 10 to 12 times your yearly income, but that's just a rough start. I look at your mortgage, your kids' college plans, and your spouse's income to find a number that makes sense for you.

Can you help with more than life insurance?

Yes. Life insurance is where we usually start, but I also help with retirement planning, 401k rollovers, estate planning, and investments. The goal is to create a full financial plan, not just one piece.

How much does life insurance cost for a family?

A healthy 30-year-old can often get $500,000 of term life coverage for around $30 to $40 a month. Whole life costs more up front but grows cash value. It all depends on your age, health, and how much coverage you want.

Do you work with families outside Poughkeepsie?

Yes. Most of my clients are in Dutchess County and the broader Hudson Valley, but I work with families throughout New York and surrounding states by phone and video. In-person meetings happen at the Poughkeepsie office.
